AT Still University is moving into our new library, Connell Information Technology Center,CITC today March 11, 2008. The movers are moving journals, books and media on large wooden carts. Much preparation took place before they arrived. We had to number the journals, books and media shelves with corresponding duplicate numbers on the shelving at CITC. The movers will just match up the numbers from the old shelves to the new. Sounds easy but mistakes can happen. Double check after you have finished and try to spot shelves that were missed or duplicate numbers. Moving is challenging, but the reward is working in a new state of the art information center. The CITC is a state-of-the-art building featuring various information technologies such as an advanced library, patient simulators, osteopathic-clinical examination tables, computer workstations, breakout rooms, student-study rooms, and lounges for faculty-student interactions. Most of the staff are settled into their spaces and library business is as usual. There are several small details that will be taken care of as time goes by, so be patient. Everyone is getting used to the new building and figuring out a daily routine.
